It was all about team work on Friday of Desert International Horse Park's Week 6 in the $25,000 Hunter Team Challenge sponsored by CWD Saddlier. Chestnut Hills Teammates Skylar Wireman and Lillian Muzzy joined Elvenstar's Paige Walkenbach to earn 1st place in this unique competition which featured a classic round and handy round. The course was beautiful and provided many options for riders.

Castelino 5 and Skylar served as the Professional Partners in the Nations Cup Hunter Team challenge earning impressive scores of 87 in round one and 89 in the handy round.
Baldeur and Lily helped the team secure an 8.5-point lead in the first round of the Nations Cup Hunter Classic with their first-round score of 84.5. #bestboybaldeur

Castelino 5 aka “Castle” is qualified for 3’3” Junior Hunter Finals! Castle and Lily earned Reserve Champion in the 3’3” Large Junior Hunters (16-17) at DIHP 5 WCHR with a spectacular winning handy round, 2nd in the U/S and top placings in their other rounds! Castelino 5 was imported from Germany in January 2023. We are thrilled to watch his progression as a hunter / equitation horse. More to come from this fine horse!

Castelino 5 and Skylar earned 2nd place overall in the Open Hunter Derby at DIHP 4 with scores of 87.75 in round 1 and 94 in the handy round. This team is one to watch!
Baldeur continues to wow us with his versatility and adjustability. He won three rounds of 3'3" Small Junior Hunters OF and earned 2nd in the U/S to earn Champion in the division. This boy loves to hunt down those fences! #bestboybaldeur

Castle and Lillian were Champion in the 15-17 Age Eq with a 1st place in the Eq Flat and top placings OF,
1st Place in the CPHA 3’3” Foundation Medal, and 1st Place in the 3’3” Junior Hunter U/S.

Castelino 5 and Skylar earned Reserve Champion in the 3'6" Green Hunters with a 1st in the U/S and 2nd in the Handy. They earned 3rd in the $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby. Baldeur continues to be the BEST boy! He and Lily earned 1st in the ASPCA Maclay, 1st in the THIS medal, 2nd in the USEF/NCEA 3’3” Medal, Reserve Champion in the 3’3” Junior Hunters, 3rd in the NHS Jr. Medal, and 4th in the $5,000 USHJA Open National Hunter Derby. We love this wonderful horse who loves to play Hunter and Eq horse equally.

It was a happy start to the New Year for MZ Baldeur! Baldeur and Lily earned Champion in the in the 3’3 Junior Hunters and also won the 3’3” $5,000 Junior Hunter Classic. In the USHJA Jr/Am Derby this moved their way up to 6th place by earning a score of 90 in their handy round! Then over in the equitation ring Baldeur and Lily earned 2nd in the NHS Medal and 2nd in the CPHA Foundation Medal! With a spectacular win in the Flat Class and a 2nd place in one of the O/F rounds, this team earned Reserve Champion for their division at the National Horse Show in Lexington, KY.
This amazing team won every Junior Hunter class in their division in a perfect sweep which earned them Grand Junior Hunter 3'6" Champion. In addition, the duo won the WCHR 3'6" Challenge. Skylar also earned the Best Junior Rider Award.
This dynamic team is headed to indoors starting with the THIS National Children's Medal Final, the WCHR 3'3" Junior Hunter Challenge, and the 3'3" (15-17) Junior Hunters at The Capital Challenge Horse Show. Then they head to Harrisburg for The Pennsylvania National Hose Show to complete in the 3'3" Small Junior Hunters (15 & U). They will finish their east coast adventure at The National Horse Show where they are completing in the NHS 3'3" Hamel Foundation Medal Final, the Open Equitation Over Fences (14-15), and in the 3'3" Small Junior Hunters. We are excited to watch this incredible team compete in the 3'6" Green Hunters, the Small Junior Hunters (16-17), and the WCHR 3'6" Junior Hunter Challenge at Capital Challenge. Then they are off to the Pennsylvania National Horse Show to complete in the Small Junior Hunters (16-17). They hope to compete at the Washington International Horse Show in the Small Junior Hunters (16-17) - pending the qualifying list. With scores of 88,89, and 88 in the classic round, Twinkie and Skylar take the early lead in this competition. They also earned 1st place in the US.
Lily Muzzy and Baldeur earn 5th Place overall in the 3'3" Small Junior Hunters (15U) with some solid rounds OF in the Classic and Handy.
Proving that he really can play in all three rings, our Equitation horse earns 3rd place in the 3'3" (15U) Under Saddle with his fluid, floaty movement.

Lily and Baldeur win the 3'3" Junior Hunter Classic at Blenheim Equisport's June Classic 2 with scores of 84 and 82. This pair was also the Reserve Champions in the 3'3" Junior Hunters and earned 7th overall in the USHJA Junior National Hunter Derby Southwest Regional Finals with amazing scores of 85 and 82 in their Handy Round.

It was another clean sweep in the 16-17 3'6" Small Junior Hunters for Bonne Starlight “Twinkie” and Skylar Wireman. With scores of 85, 86, 85, 86, and 1st in the U/S, Skylar and Twinkie also earned the Smartpak Grand Junior Hunter Champion and co-Overall Grand Hunter Champion at Blenheim's Ranch and Coast. This team also earned 4th place in the $5,000 USHJA Jr/Am Derby with scores of 86 and 94. Way to go!

Junior rider, Skylar Wireman, and Bonne Starlight aka "Twinkie" delivered another amazing performance in the WEC Week #17 Non-Pro Derby. This team earned a score of 89 in the first round and a 94, the highest score of the day, in the handy round by being the only team to take all the inside turns. With a final score of 183, the pair clinched the win in a field of 35 riders. Wireman also piloted Bonne Starlight to Champion in the 3'6" Junior Hunters with a clean sweep of all division classes and a victory in the Junior Hunter Classic. Go Team MZ Farms!

Congratulations to junior rider, Skylar Wireman, and Bonne Starlight for their victory in the USHJA 3' Non-Pro Derby at week 16 of the Winter series at World Equestrian Center in Wilmington, OH. The pair earned 87.5 in the first round and 92 in the handy round. The crowd loudly cheered them on to the win. Bonne Starlight and Wireman also earned 2nd place during WEC Winter #14 and #15 in the Non-Pro Derby. This pair is on fire! In addition to the Derby they earned champion in the 3'6" Greens weeks #14 and #15, and they tied for Champion in the 3'6" Small Junior Hunters week #14.

We are excited to share that junior rider, Lily Muzzy, and Baldeur earned Champion in the U15 3'3" Small Junior Hunters for WCHR (World Champion Hunter Rider) Week at the Desert International Horse Park. This duo also earned first place in the Taylor Harris Insurance Services (THIS) Medal with a score of 85 in the first round and a stellar, no-iron, over fences work-off! To top off their third week of showing in the small junior hunters, they were named a DIHP Mid-Circuit Champion. Baldeur ridden by Lily Muzzy earned Reserve Champion in the USHJA Jumping Seat Medal at the 2021 Marshall & Sterling Insurance/USHJA National Championships in Las Vegas. This was the first time this pair had worked together in this medal and Baldeur once again proved his three-ring horse status. This pair also posted a winning 14 & U Children's Hunter Handy round showing off his hunter skills. Way to go Team MZ Farms and Chestnut Hills!

This spectacular team, trained by Shayne Wireman, also placed 7th in the $25,000 Junior/Am Derby. Twinkie is really coming along and catching eyes with his fancy footwork and beautiful jump.

This spectacular team, trained by Shayne Wireman, won the Under Saddle, the Handy, and one round over fences. It was fun to watch them on the grass!
Congratulations to our MZ Farms Team of Lillian Muzzy and Baldeur for earning 9th place in the CPHA Foundation 14 & Under Equitation Medal Finals at Blenheim EquiSports on August 29th! Trained by Shayne Wireman of Chestnut Hills, this team had an amazing come-back in the second round of the finals, earning a score of 80 which was 5th place in Round 2 and bumped them from the middle of the field of 32 riders to a top ten finish! Way to go team!
Baldeur enjoyed success in the Children's Hunter Division at the Showpark Summer Classic, earning Champion with two winning rounds O/F and a first place in the Romfh Children's Classic. This team, trained by Shayne Wireman, equally loves playing in the hunter and equitation ring together! Way to go Baldeur and Lillian!
Skylar Wireman rides Bonne Starlight to claim the win in the $10,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby - Junior Amateur at Blenheim Equisports on Saturday, July 23, 2021. Skylar topped the field of 22 entries with an overall score of 192 aboard Bonne Starlight, owned by MZ Farms LLC.
Wireman led the class heading into the handy round with a first round score of 90, and she returned to deliver a high score of 99, including the four high option bonus points. Skylar, who trains with Shayne Berridge-Wireman at Chestnut Hills Equestrian Center in Bonsall, CA shared, “It really felt incredible; I don’t know if I’ve ever gotten that high of a base score!”.
“This is only like his fourth horse show ever,” said Wireman of the 9-year-old Hanoverian gelding. “This is his first week showing on the grass, and he just started the 3’ greens not that long ago. We decided to do the derby, but we were going to take it just a little bit conservatively. I couldn’t have asked him to jump any better. Bonne Starlight aka "Twinkie" made his formal showing debut this past week in Temecula. He was piloted by junior rider, Skylar Wireman, to earn Champion in the greens. He and Skylar posted a score of 87 in the second round of the classic that same day. The pair also earned 6th place in a very competitive Hunter Derby.
Catching Stars AKA "Star" and Lillian ended the DIHP circuit on a high note by earning Overall Circuit Champion in the Low Children's Hunters! They also earned Champion in the Low Children's Hunters, Reserve Champion in the 2'9" Child Equitation, and 4th in the NAL Child Hunter Classic for Week 8.
Catching Stars AKA "Star" and Lillian have enjoyed a fabulous start to the 2021 show year! Star was named the Desert International Horse Park series Mid-Circuit Champion in the Low Children's Hunters and Lillian was named Reserve Champion in the Child 2'9" Equitation.
